[F5] If you are tired of looking at these memos, Alt-V will also close the memo.Sorting records involves taking a number of records which have been entered in no particular order and ordering them based on alpha- numeric order[F5] 6) You can sort on 7) these four lines 8) by referencing 9) them as 6 - 9 Sorting capability means that you do not have to enter records in anyparticular order, nor do you have to enter then at the same time. [F5] You can constantly update your databaseand reorder it at will Once in a while you may want to insert a record into your data baseat a particular point. From the Main Menu, choose Insert Record, That's all there is to it. [F5?] A new record will becreated and placed between the current and next records. Once entered, your records can be edited at any time. The easiest wayis to load the file, F3 and enter part of the text contained in the record to locate it. [F5] You can Esc from Menu Mode to Edit Mode and PgUp & PgDnto find records alsoNow that you have selected a default data file and it loads automatically. You can search yourrecords quickly with the F3 key. [F5] ADDRESS.DBL is the default file for dbLite unless one is named by menu. The first time you use F3 to searchfor text all you need is the F3 keyTo CHANGE the text you are looking for you will use the Menu system SEARCH MENU then TEXT SEARCH [F5] SEARCH MENU / TEXT SEARCH resets the charac- ters searched for. The record edit window which you are reading is five lines by 35 characters. This size is equal to a mailing label.
